Inspired by the 3,000 nautical miles of open water that transformed Laura from traveller to adventurer. The blue, waterproof quality of the strap represents this transatlantic adventure in the little 38ft trimaran sailing across the big, open expanse.
“ Sitting behind the steering wheel at 2 am, my right hand lightly controlling the helm and my left hand tucked in my pocket. I was watching out for icebergs! We were in colder waters now. On the left-hand side, I could see something coming closer, it was stirring up all the bioluminescence, I panicked, was this an iceberg? A torpedo? Was it going to hit us? In two small waves, it was next to the boat and just stayed there, travelling in sync with us. Panic turned into relief, which then turned into a huge smile as the dolphin jumped out of the water. It's one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen, a dolphin in the dead of night, staying by my side stirring up bioluminescence and leaving the most beautiful turquoise blue light in its wake. Simply magical.

Inspired by her biggest expedition yet, the green strap represents the green jungle that Laura traversed during her 10-week journey and the strengthened understanding of the need to collectively safeguard these life filled wonders for future generations. This realisation came while paddling down the river as she witnessed the harmony and beauty of the jungle juxtaposed against the deforestation and destruction of man. The green strap embodies her, along with millions of others, belief that we should serve nature not the other way around.
“Laying in my hammock after a long days kayaking, gently swaying back and forth, everyone drifting to sleep to the gentle sounds of the jungle. When a deep throaty huff was heard coming from the jungle, a jaguar was close by - a noise we’d become accustomed to hearing, part of our nighttime melody even. However, our plan should the jaguar come too close… jump into the kayaks and paddle away! But then a sound comes from the water, a territorial caveman was asserting his ground. I remember realising that we were now trapped between jungle and water, knowing that it was time to "pray and be quiet”, we waited in the deafening silence.
